OUR FOUNDERS

Abby Allman & Bob O'donnell

Bob and Abby, proud parents of James (5) and Kellan (3) in Montgomery County, were on the verge of registering James for full-day Kindergarten when they discovered a learning community offering a different path—one rooted in curiosity, creativity, and connection. That moment sparked something unexpected, leading them to envision a place where families could return to learning through play and purpose, not pressure.

What started as a search for something better quickly became a movement. Together, Bob and Abby began building a community of like-minded families—those ready to challenge the norms of conventional education and prioritize meaningful, self-driven learning. Their vision is centered on helping children grow in environments that encourage exploration, collaboration, and joy.

In a world overwhelmed by screen addiction, social media, and rising mental health concerns, this shift feels more important than ever. Bob and Abby believe in getting back to basics—letting kids be kids, learning through play, and fostering strong family connections. This isn't just about a new way to support homeschooling—it’s about creating a space where families can thrive together.

Apogee Engage is at the heart of that mission. It's not a school—it's a homeschool support and enrichment center designed to nurture the whole family. Here, parents remain the primary leaders of their children's learning, while Apogee Engage offers mentorship, project-based learning opportunities, fitness, and a vibrant community for parents and kids alike.

Bob and Abby believe that education doesn’t begin and end with a school building—it’s a lifelong journey. Through Apogee Engage, families stay connected and supported while each child’s education is guided by the people who know them best—their parents.

With a focus on mentorship, wellness, and purposeful learning, Apogee Engage helps parents lead with intention while giving children the freedom to explore, discover, and grow. It’s a place where everyone—children and adults—can develop the skills, habits, and mindset to live a good life.

At Apogee Engage, the goal is simple but powerful:

Do Good Things. Be Good Humans.

Bob and Abby invite you to join this growing community—where learning is a family adventure, and growth never stops.
